The current activities of the Bonaire Animal Shelter are:

Education programs for schoolchildren
The intention of these programs is creating more understanding and awareness of the needs of animals, in particular house pets.

Renovation
For the time being we are still busy in renovating the dog kennels. After the separations have been completed, the outside areas should be covered by diabase (sand). As soon as the kennels have been completed we will have to take action that our storage capacity will be increased.  It is important for the animal feed that there will be a dry and enclosed area. Other materials and items can then be stored in a better way as well.

Sterilization fund
Each year, hundreds pets are put to sleep on Bonaire. Let's "fix" the pet overpopulation problem! The Bonaire Animal Shelter tries to stimulate the spaying and neutering of dogs and cats. Publicity and providing information will remain for us priorities in order to acquire the necessary funds and to stimulate the sterilization program. You can make contributions to the fund by means of a donation, a deposit on MCB bank account no. 10616410, stating “Sterilization Fund”.
