We are often asked by island visitors, residents and Bonaire Animal Shelter supporters "What can I do to help?"
Sure you can help....and in any number of ways:

• By volunteering your time
• By making a monetary donation to help keep our Shelter programs operating
• Shop in our animal gift shop
• By donating items. See our Wish List below.

Volunteer your time
We are looking for volunteers to help with the cleaning and feeding duties at the shelter. There are many different types of animals that all require different feeding and cleaning duties. We are also looking for handypersons and gardeners:  Dog and cat care is the priority at the Bonaire Animal Shelter, so minor repair work and gardening may go neglected. Your hard work will be much appreciated by the staff and volunteers.
We are ideally looking for people to help on a weekly basis, but if you only have time to help fortnightly or once a month, then still please contact us. We are very short of volunteers so any time you could offer the rescue animals would be wonderful.

Monetary donation
The Bonaire Animal Shelter is partially supported by the government of Bonaire. However, most of the operating budget depends on the contributions from businesses and people such as yourself who appreciate the unswaying affection and devotion that these animals provide us.
Support Bonaire provides a way for Americans to donate to their favorite Bonaire causes and claim charitable deduction on their American income tax. The Support Bonaire Web site now accepts credit card donations for the Bonaire Animal Shelter.

Of course, cash donations are always appreciated. Look for the dog house donation boxes in many shops and businesses or on the shelter on Bonaire.

Shop in our animal gift shop
Help fund our cause by shopping in our new gift shop. We have a wide selection of dog tops, leashes, animal gifts, t-shirts for you to choose from featuring our new logo printed on them. These items would make a great gift for any animal lover.

Wish List

• Used books, all kinds of used, but good clothes (to sell at the monthly flea market)
• Folding tables (to be used at the monthly flea market)
