ANBI

Animal Shelter Bonaire has ANBI status, which means we are officially recognized by the Dutch tax authorities as a Public Benefit Organization. For donors and sponsors, this provides extra reassurance that we work transparently and are fully committed to the welfare of dogs and cats on Bonaire. Donations may also qualify for tax benefits in the Netherlands. Most importantly, every contribution directly helps provide food, medical care, spay and neuter programs, safe shelter and new chances for our animals.

Financial accountability

As a nonprofit organization, we believe it is important to be open about how donations and other contributions are used. That is why we publish our financial reports and information about our activities each year.

Our impact

Every day, Animal Shelter Bonaire is there for dogs and cats across the island. Each year we care for hundreds of animals, help them find new homes and provide free spay and neuter services to help prevent future overpopulation. Behind every intake is an animal with its own story. A puppy found alone on the street. A cat in need of medical care. A dog finally learning that a kennel can be a safe place to sleep. With the support of our community, we can keep doing this work.
