At Animal Shelter Bonaire, we believe that change starts with knowledge. That’s why we work together with schools and educational institutions to teach children and young people about animal welfare in a positive and engaging way.
What we aim to achieve
Through school visits and educational projects, we aim to:

Raise awareness – Dogs are more than just guard animals. With proper care and training, they can be wonderful companions.

Improve animal welfare – The better you care for an animal, the happier and healthier it will be. We teach children how to feed, care for, and treat their pets properly.

Explain the importance of sterilization – Fewer unwanted litters mean fewer animals in need of homes and less suffering. By creating awareness early on, we work toward a long-term solution to overpopulation.
We’re actively building partnerships with schools and other educational institutions – but we can’t do it alone!
